My coonass heritage has just been reassured today. My parents are going to a wedding. They do not know the bride or groom, but they heard the band was good! They know one of the band members. They heard about it through their work. It is being held at the truck dispatching terminal! That is priceless. LOL I would never...

A week has passed through summer school and all is good. The classes are easy; too easy it seems. I have classes with nice people, so it is good. The math class is so pathetically easy I want to fall asleep. I work on the next lesson while the woman is teaching. The Special Ed class is a lot more interesting than I thought it would be.
Also, today I had lunch with my new boss for the first time. It was six other new teachers and myself. It was nice getting to know some of them. I do not care much for Bojangles, the resturant where we went. It is a sushi bar. I do not like Asian food at all.

Well, my break has been cut short, but with a great outcome. I managed to get a job at a high school. This is going to be my second year teaching really. I was a tutor a South Louisiana Community College, but that turned into a teaching job when one of the teachers missed 12 classes of the 2 day a week class. That was a lot of school and the students were so far behind that I had to make lesson plans and teach entire lessons to a class of 16 people. I enjoyed it though.
So, the reason my break is cut short is because I have to attend summer school. The principal wants me to take a math course and an education course. That is only 6 hours; however, I have to talk myself into college. I do not know if I have to reapply and the semester begins tomorrow! I will go to school tomorrow and talk with the dean of the College of Education.

After a full break from school and work, I have decided to work on some things I have been putting off. I am continuing work on my new website and I am catching up with my old friends from ET chat. I am also preparing some of the papers I have written for publication. I will probably start on my book next week when I finish with the website.
This morning my mother called several places to fix the broken window on my truck. I do not know how it broke, but it did. It is the back passenger side glass. Perhaps a rock hit the window yesturday when I was mowing the grass, but I was causious not to blow the grass toward the vehicles. Regardless, my insurrance will cover it. My mother also won some money last night at the casino, so we can easily pay the $50 deductable.
